DIY Pennant Wands
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, so I’m busting out my crafting skills to share how to make the cutest pennant wands for your little ones!
Supplies Needed
Hot glue
Pencil
Scissors
Yarn pom pom
Ribbon, yarn
Pipe cleaner, rhinestones, sequins, plastic gems, stickers and other accessories (optional)
Step 1:
Trace flag shape on the stiff felt with a pencil and cut out according to design. To get the specific design, I looked up Swallow Tail Flag Shape.
*Pro Tip! If you have a Cricket, you can use that to cut your flag.
Step 2:
Using your hot glue gun, glue pom pom to the top of the wooden dowel.
Step 3:
On the back of the flag, hot glue seam edge to the dowel and wrap to cover.
Step 4:
With your alphabet sticker, carefully place onto the middle of the flag.
Step 5:
Add additional accents, if you like! You can glue buttons, rhinestones or tie some ribbon to the wand! Decorate the dowel by wrapping it with ribbon. Hot glue to seal.
Step 6:
Enjoy!
